
James Stoeffel is a portfolio manager and principal at Royce Investment Partners. He manages portfolios in the firm’s Small-Cap Opportunistic Value strategy, including the Royce Opportunity fund. He also manages portfolios in the firm’s Multi-Discipline strategy, serving as lead manager of the Royce Micro-Cap fund and the Royce Capital fund – Micro-Cap Portfolio, and is an assistant manager of the Royce Pennsylvania mutual fund. He is also a manager of the Royce Micro-Cap Trust. He has 29 years of investment industry experience. Before joining Royce, Stoeffel co-founded and managed a hedge fund for Rebus Partners. He previously worked at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn (2001-2008), Palisade Capital (1999-2001) and Salomon Smith Barney (1993-1999). He began his career as a financial services industry auditor (1984-1992). Stoeffel received a bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University and a master of business administration from New York University.
